Life By You has some cool features that have caught the attention of people who like life simulations.
Life By You is a new life simulation game that was made by Rod Humble, who also worked on The Sims. Life By You, which was made by Paradox Tectonic, is based on a virtual world that players can change and fill with whatever they want. Whether the player wants to focus on story-telling, modding, or building, the game depends on how much they can imagine.
Early Access will start in September, but it will be a long time before the full version of Life By You is out. But luckily, the game’s creators have gone into detail about what players can expect.
Open Exploration
The fact that Life By You takes place in an open world was one of the most talked-about parts of the trailer and the event where it was announced. There are no rabbit holes, and people who live in neighborhoods and towns can go anywhere on the map. With such a big world to explore, players will have lots of chances to find collectibles like treasure chests and archeological dig sites, as Humble hinted at during the event.
Players will also be able to send their humans on quests, which will probably involve things like planting seeds or doing a certain number of work tasks in a day.
Free-Reign Customization
Life By You will have an open world and a customization system that will give players a lot of room to be creative. When choosing an item from the build/buy catalog, there are no more swatches. Instead, players can directly change the color and look of objects and clothing by using a color wheel, which was a feature from The Sims 3. Even though it wasn’t shown in the announcement event or the official trailer, this customization will probably be available for wallpaper, floors, and vehicles.
In Life By You, customization isn’t just for looks. Players can also change how people talk to each other, how they get jobs, and what skills they can learn. Humble told PCGamesN in 2020 that Life By You is the “deepest game” he’s ever made, which is an understatement based on how many ways there are to change things on the surface level.
Ability To Use Developer Tools
Life By You’s main selling point is that players will be able to use all the tools that developers use to make the game. Even though not all of them were talked about at the announcement event, the first official trailer mentions briefly that you can directly edit events, conversations, objects, careers, skills, traits, crafting, collectibles, and more.
In Life By You, players will be able to make their worlds fit their exact needs, down to changing how an object works. As the event showed, the object editor lets players change an object’s price, name, and who can use it.
Balanced Relationship Between Developers And Players
During the announcement event, Paradox made it clear that they want a strong and fair relationship with their player base. So, to make Life By You a game that fits the needs of its players, the creators have made an Early Access stage where players can give direct feedback and make suggestions to make the game as good as it can be.
Life By You will be in this phase for at least a year, according to the FAQ page on Paradox’s website. Even though it won’t have “all the content and features” that the game will have when it comes out, those who play Life By You in Early Access will get the full game when it comes out.
Play Anyone, Anytime
Players can make their own characters and families in Life By You, just like they can in any other life simulation game. They can also take over the lives of pre-made characters, but the biggest difference is that they can do this right away in this Happy Wheels game. So, if a player is controlling someone and an NPC walks by, they can click on the NPC and take control of them right away.
There are no loading screens, and players’ lives will pick up right where they left off, including any skills they’ve learned, relationships they have, and other things like their home or job.
Make And Tell Stories To Share With The Community
Life By You’s development tools let players make their own stories, objects, and other game mechanics that they can share with the rest of the community. Through Early Access and talking to the players, Paradox is encouraging this way of playing so that each copy of Life By You can be made to fit the person who is playing it.
Since Life By You is still new, it’s not clear how uploading and downloading content that has been changed will work. But it will probably be part of the game, like a gallery like in The Sims or a community page where players can talk to each other and share.
Life By You is being made for PC, and on September 12 it will go into Early Access.
